What standard does this site meet?

This website is designed and tested to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. It was last reviewed in November 2026.

How do we test it?

Every page is checked with automated tools each time it changes: contrast, headings, labels, alt text, keyboard focus, and how the page reflows on a narrow phone screen and with wider text spacing. Before launch and after major changes, we also test by hand with a keyboard alone, with screen readers (NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on iPhone), and at 200% and 400% zoom.

We keep a written record of what we tested and how it scored. We do the same for every website we build, and each client gets that record.

What did we build in?

• Text and buttons meet the AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
• Every page has one main heading, a skip link to the content, and headings in order.
• Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
• Images that carry meaning have a text description. Decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
• Form fields have visible labels and clear error messages.
• The body text is Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface drawn by the Braille Institute so letters that look alike are easier to tell apart.
• Animations stop if your device is set to reduce motion.

Are there known limits?

Some older blog articles, from 2019 to 2024, were written before this rebuild. We have checked their headings and images, but if you find something in one of them that is hard to use, please tell us. We will fix it.

We don't use an accessibility overlay widget. Overlays don't fix the underlying site, and they often get in the way of the assistive technology people already use.
